Here’s your ultimate guide to look good (like, really good) every day, whether you’re staying at home or stepping outside.

I am a work-from-home girlie, and looking good every day is so not a part of my job description. But in a way, it is kind of necessary that I do.
I have noticed that I function better on days when I am looking good, while being lazy with my appearance makes me feel slow as a turtle.
Also, there is this feminine need inside me, and every woman, to look beautiful every single day. I don’t want to shy away from this urge, and neither should you.
Looking good is not just about appearances or trying to match the society’s beauty standards (those are unreal anyway, and we don’t talk about unreal things on this blog).
You want to look good, because it makes you feel good. Simple as that.
It makes you more active, sharp, focused, and of course, enhances your feminine energy, which is always a positive zone to be in.
So, in this post, we are going to look at some basic, simple and important things that all of us can do every day to look good.
Whether you’re a homemaker, an office-going lady, or a work-from-home bee like me, these tips will work for everyone.
Read on, pretty reader! You are going to love what I have to share.
How To Look Good Every Day
1. Start Your Day with a Quick Routine
Everything in life resets itself in the morning, and that goes for your body as well.
Every morning, do a quick routine to build up a good look.
The first thing to do is get out of your pajamas. I know it’s tempting to stay in them all day, especially when you’re working from home.
But changing your outfit will set the tone for your entire day, so it’s kinda important.
Do a basic CMS skincare routine (cleansing, moisturizing, and sunscreen).
Brush your hair, and swipe on some lip balm. These tiny steps will instantly make you feel fresh, pretty, and ready for the day.
2. Wear Clothes That Make You Feel Amazing

Another great way to feel good is to wear good stuff. You can hate this fact or love it, but your clothes have power.
Your oversized tee and old sweatpants might feel comfy, but they won’t make you feel your best.
So instead, wear cute lounge sets or comfy dresses that are easy to throw on.
Outfits like these that fit well and flatter your shape will boost your confidence without sacrificing comfort.
And let’s say you wanna stick to your oversized stuff, then just avoid wearing old and worn out stuff, and update your wardrobe with new stuff.
Keep a few go-to outfits on hand that make you feel both cozy and chic. You’ll feel uh-mazing, I can guarantee that.
3. Keep Your Skin Hydrated
Nothing says healthy and radiant quite like hydrated skin.
I mean, sure, makeup can help too, but a moisturized skin is the most basic way to show up looking good.
Right after you’ve cleansed your face, put on a serum or a moisturizer that works for your skin.
And drink plenty of water throughout the day, because no product can ever replace the effects of good hydration from within.
If you want to go the extra mile, you can apply a subtle highlighter. It will give you a fresh and dewy look.
Hydrated skin also makes your makeup look better and last longer, which is a strong reason to tick this off every day.
Speaking of makeup…
4. Add a Touch of Makeup

As much as I love a full-face makeup, it’s not healthy for your skin for every day wear, and you might not have the time or energy for so much effort every day.
That’s why no-makeup makeup is a thing, you know.
Most days, all you need to look good is a tinted moisturizer, a little mascara, and a swipe of lip tint.
These are tiny touches, but they can bring a real natural glow to your face and make you love looking into the mirror.
Here is my exact simple makeup routine that I wear when I am in the mood for a little glam at home:
- Cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen
- Tinted serum for light coverage
- Blush on cheeks
- Curl your lashes and then apply mascara
- Glossy lip balm

5. Do Something with Your Hair
Your hair doesn’t need to look like you just walked out of a salon, but brushing it or trying a simple style makes a world of difference.
A sleek ponytail, a low bun, or loose waves take only minutes but can make you feel like a totally different person (in a good way, for sure).
If you’re really short on time, just run a comb through your hair and gather half your hair into a clutcher at the back. It will make you look polished instead of messy.
6. Smell Good, Always

Smelling good might not have anything to do with looking good, but it’s a part of feeling good and making others around you feel good about you.
Do you think anyone (including you) would care about your appearance if you smell bad? Nope.
That’s why you need need to pour good fragrances onto your body.
Take a quick shower to freshen up yourself, use a deodorant, and add a spritz of perfume or body mist,
It will make you feel clean and confident, even if you’re working from your living room.
7. Move Your Body
There’s this workout routine I do from YouTube, where the woman says one of her fav quotes is ‘It feels good to feel good. Feels good to feel strong.’
As a workout-loving girlie myself, I agree one-hundred percent.
When you move your body every day, you gain strength, confidence, and a natural kind of beauty.
You don’t have to do an intense workout every morning unless you want to, of course.
Even a quick stretch, a short yoga session, or dancing around your kitchen can do wonders for your beauty.
Movement gets your blood flowing, brightens your mood, and adds a natural glow to your skin.
Plus, it’s a great energy booster for the day, and we can all do with a little more energy in our everyday lives.
8. Accessorize a Little

For the longest time, I avoided accessories, because I thought they didn’t look good on me.
That was until my best friend told me one day in a stern voice, “Akansha, there’s no woman on earth who accessories don’t look good on.”
I now have a mini collection of minimalist accessories, and I don’t ever spend a day without a pendant on my neck and a bracelet on my wrist.
Accessories can completely change your outfit and you vibe, especially when you’re staying at home.
Throw on a pair of lightweight gold hoops, a small necklace, and wear something on your wrist.
All of this will make you look like you put effort in, both to yourself and to the world (if you’re going out).
It’s hands-down the an easiest way to feel chic without spending extra time.
9. Check Your Posture
This zero-cost tip will instantly make you look better.
When you have good posture, you look confident and stylish, and it also makes you more energized and alert.
Not to mention, there will be no stiff back and neck problems for you.
So, whether you’re at home or outside, mind your posture and protect your back health.
Sit, stand and walk straight. Keep your shoulders back, chin up, and don’t let your neck round forward.
It will be an instant upgrade in your appearance without any effort.
10. End the Day with Care

Okay, we’re down to the last tip of this post, and I absolutely love this one.
Looking good isn’t just for the daytime. It’s a habit that you should carry with you till bedtime, so that you can be in the same energy come morning.
Before bed, take off your makeup, wash your face, do your skincare, and slip into clean and cozy nightwear.
You can read a book, and have some herbal tea to unwind your body and mind.
Your night routine will signal to your brain that you care about yourself, even at the end of a long day.
It’s the ultimate act of self-love, which is the most powerful tool a woman can harness to look good and feel good at all time.
